and unsung ability to strengthen our community
with their guidance, talent, tirne and efforts.

public fanfare. They are the women who truly
stand as the pillars of our community.

Rosemary Dowling
Rosemary Dowling is one of the most active members of the long Beach Community, even though she resides a bit further down the island in Point lookout. She is the Founding Director and has served as Coordinator of the Patient Representative Program at Long Beach Medical Center from 1985 through 1996. Over the years, Rosemary has been a Board member for a variety of organizations including Long Beach Catholic School, the long Termers Committee of Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, our Medical Center, and the Barrier Beach Executive Committee. She has served two terms as President and is currently a member of the Board of the Point Lookout Civic Association. Always ready to lend her knowledge and assistance, Rosemary has been a consultant to the lnterfaith Volunteers Caregivers Program and was an advisor to the Religious Congregations Informal Support of the Frail Elderly at Fordham University. A focal point of her activities at present is the Point lookout Historical Society, which she founded and currently directs.
