 | PRINCETON, N.J. - Six Yale players received 2011 All-Ivy League recognition today as the Bulldogs (10-3) prepare for Friday night's league tournament semifinal at Cornell. The Elis had one first-team pick, junior Matt Gibson, a pair of second-teamers and three honorable mentions.

... The junior recorded 17 goals, including a game-winning goal and two man-up tallies, and 16 assists in helping lead the Bulldogs back to the Ivy League tournament for the second consecutive season. Gibson played in all six of Yale's Ivy League games, totaling eight goals and seven assists for a 2.5 points per Ivy game average. It marks Gibson's second All-Ivy honor after earning second-team status in 2010. |
