The first Christian Prince Memorial Tournament was a good one for the Yale men's lacrosse team which won both of its games on Oct. 14. The Bulldogs defeated LeMoyne 13-9 and also topped Lafayette 16-9.
The Bulldogs were led by senior attackman Tyler Casertano, who had nine goals for the day, as well as a strong showing from sophomore Brendan Gibson with four goals and three assists.
The Bulldogs dominated the face-off circle, winning 78 percent. Yale was also able to spread the ball and get offensive production from 14 different players over the two victories.
Yale senior goalie George Carafides, who had eight saves, shared time between the pipes with classmate Joe Costa (5 saves) and Johnathan Falcone (4).
Yale took advantage of its own tournament in providing experience to the newcomers and putting the entire team to the test.
